Hi, I have had to disable search for the moment, it doesn't seem to be able to put cars in order if the search is for a "civic" but works ok for other cars, very odd, but is there something in the logic that might effect why civic doesn't work?

The search uses the MySQL fulltext search. There are issues with words of 3 or fewer characters or if you've only got a few cars, but searching for "civic" on a reasonably large table should be fine?

It's possible your MySQL tables or indexes have corrupted in some way - back up your DB, then try running REPAIR TABLE tablename; on the affected site.

Has anyone experienced similar problems?

I've got a similar problem.

Right now I have about 4-5,000 cars indexed on my site in many different 'showrooms'. If I search for a car I know is there, the results that are generated do not match what was searched for.

I must admit that I haven't tried what you suggested above Craig, as I don't understand your instruction.

Other than that, I have no issues with the program other than what I want it to do in the near future that it doesn't do now!

Thanks.

Please send me a URL to your showroom and the search term you are using. I'll check if there's anything quirky going on.

Is it also possible to get a database dump? Your ISP should provide facilities to do that via PhpMyAdmin or similar.
